The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Larsson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
“Friendship is probably the most common form of love.”
― Stieg Larsson, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest
Unlike the previous two books, my expectation for this book was really high, and I wasn’t disappointed after reading it, frankly I enjoyed it very much ! what I really like about Larsson’s Millenium series that it has different “topic” for each book.
for example, in the first book the topic was about anti-semit, sexual harassment and domestic violence, Larsson successfully conveyed it thoroughly in every chapter of that book.
and in this third book, I guess the theme or topic is about “Amazon Fighters” or “Army of women” or nowadays as known as “Alpha-Female”
All of the female characters in this book were born as stubborn fighters, alpha-dominant-women who kicked ass those jerks, and off course the smartest and the most kicked-ass female and the center of this book is none other than ; Lisbeth Salander.
My favorite part of this book was at the courtroom, Lisbeth and her lawyer played their part perfectly and flawless, I think that courtroom section was much better compared with John Grisham ( no way ! just kidding, folks )
One flaw is ; why the hell is Mikael Blomkvist a chick-magneto ?
A middle aged journo has that such kinda charm so every girls in that book couldn’t say no to him ? pleeeaaaseeee……..
all and all, this is a very enjoyable book, must read it !
by the way, I read this book months ago, but didn’t think to write a review till now, fyi
